Privacy Policy
Aisle holds some of the most personal things people share: their photos, their words and the story of their wedding. This page explains, in plain language, what we keep, why, who can see it, and how you stay in control.
See also our Terms of Service.
Who we are
Aisle is operated by Nilebyte. For anything about your data, contact us at support@aisleweddingplatform.app.
A couple decides what goes on their wedding page and who is invited. For the content of a wedding, the couple is in charge of it and we look after it on their behalf; for your account itself, we are.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, a securely hashed password (or your Google sign-in, if you use it), your name and, if you add them, a profile photo, a short bio and links to your social profiles.
- Wedding pages: what couples write and upload: names, date, venue, schedule, love story text and photos, the main photo, invitation wording and design choices.
- What guests share: photos you upload (with their captions), notes you leave on the Note Board, and a video message if you record one (up to 30 seconds, with its sound), each with your name and the time.
- Camera and microphone: used only while you record a video message on the Note Board, and only after your browser asks you. Nothing is recorded or sent until you press record and then post.
- Invites: the email addresses a couple invites, and whether each invite was accepted. We store only a scrambled fingerprint of each invite link, never the link itself.
- Private planning: a couple's budget and checklist. Only that couple can see them; not other guests, and not Aisle's admins.
- Activity records: a log of important actions (for example, signing up, inviting someone, hiding a photo, changing a setting) with who did it and when. We use it to keep accounts safe and to resolve disputes.
We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use third-party analytics or tracking.
Who can see what
- A wedding's main page (names, date, story, schedule, venue) can be read by anyone who has its link, once the couple publishes it. Couples can also choose whether it appears in the public list of weddings on Aisle.
- Guest photos, notes and video messages are visible only to people who have joined that wedding, and only if the couple shares them with guests; otherwise only the couple sees them. People join with a personal invite or, if the couple prints one, the wedding's code, which works for anyone who has it until the couple switches it off. Guest photos and videos are stored privately and served through links that expire after an hour.
- Photos on the public page (the main photo and love story photos) and profile photos are stored so that anyone with their address can load them.
- Your profile is visible to people you share a wedding with. Your email address is visible only to you, to the couples of weddings you're invited to, and to Aisle's admins.
- The couple can see, hide or remove anything posted to their wedding, and download it to keep: the photos, and the Note Board with its video messages as a page that works offline.
- Aisle's admins can see accounts and wedding content to run the service, investigate problems and act on abuse reports. They cannot see a couple's private budget or checklist.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you asked for: your account, the wedding page, invitations, galleries, notes and downloads (this is our contract with you).
- To send the emails the service needs: a welcome email, invitations a couple sends, and password resets.
- To keep Aisle safe: preventing abuse and spam, enforcing limits, and keeping the activity records above (our legitimate interest).
- To meet legal obligations when they apply.
Services we rely on
We use a small number of providers to run Aisle, each only for its part of the work:
- Supabase hosts our database, file storage and sign-in.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Google, only if you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in.
- Our hosting provider serves the website itself.
These providers may process data in other countries. We only use providers that commit to protecting it.
How long we keep it
- Your account and what you posted, for as long as you keep your account.
- When a couple or an admin deletes a wedding, it can be restored for 30 days, and may then be removed for good.
- Photos, notes and video messages a couple deletes are removed straight away; a record that something was removed is kept for the activity log.
- Activity records are deleted automatically after 24 months.
- Encrypted backups kept by our database provider expire on its own schedule.
Your choices and rights
- See and correct your details on your profile at any time.
- Download your data: on your profile, “Download my data” gives you a file with your account details, the weddings you belong to, your notes, your video messages and the photos you uploaded.
- Delete your account: on your profile, “Delete my account” removes your account, your profile photo, and every photo, note and video message you posted. It can't be undone.
- Delete one thing: you can delete any photo, note or video message you posted from the gallery or Note Board.
- For anything else, including objecting to how we use your data or asking about a wedding you appear in, contact us at support@aisleweddingplatform.app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Aisle accounts are for people aged 16 or over. Couples should take care when sharing photos of children and can hide or remove any photo posted to their wedding.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and its date, and tell you in the app when the change matters.
